We offer you a 30-minute guided meditation every weekday morning at 9 a.m. ET. This offering is intended to help you deepen your meditation practice within a supportive community setting.

Science has shown that the benefits of medittion develop more effectively with a regular practice. To suppor you in developing this consistenency, you will receive a call each wekday at 9 a.m. ET. All you need to do is answer the phone.

Your meditations will be lead by Bill Brooks who has over 15 years of experience leading guided meditations. He will lead you in a variety of meditation practices, answer your questions when they arise, and facilitate a sense of community among participants.

These guided meditations are offered as a monthly subscription. Mansefields Telesangha offers several subscription options: Participator ($29.95), Supporter ($49.95), and Benefactor ($79.95).

Learn to practice mindfulness

Our lives are overly stimulated and often harried. What would happen if we gave ourselves a few minutes each day to stop, and be fully present and still – to be mindful? Research has shown that the practice of mindfulness meditation can lead to a calm and focused mind. Other benefits of this practice include reduced stress, enhanced self-awareness, and a greater sense of inner peace and connectedness with life.

This 7-week introductory course will answer the basic question: What are we doing when we are mindful? You will learn about mindfulness and meditation trough instruction, discussion, and quided practice. You will begin to develop a competence in mindfulness. Specific training will be provided on how to apply mindfulness to multiple dimensions of our lives. Upon completion of this series, you will have the tools and experience needed to continue an independent practice of mindfulness and meditation.

Our next course is offered Tuesdays October 8 – November 19, 2024 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. ET. The course will be taught in Fredericksburg, VA by Bill Brooks. The cost for the course is $185.

We ask that you preregister for this course and that you commit to attending all seven class as best you can. Upon registering, you will receive an email providing all logistic details.

Practicing the Practice.

Mansefields Mindfulness offers services that aid in the development and stregthening the life skill of mindfulness. These services are provided by bill brooks. bill has found the practice of mindfulness to be greatly beneficial in navigating life’s joys and sorrows. It is a great honor and joy for him to share this life skill – Mindfulness – with others.

bill is a co-founder and teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Fredericksburg.

bill was introduced to mindfulness in 2004 and has been practicing ever since. He was certified as a mindfulness meditation teacher in 2013 by the Meditation Teacher Training Institute.

bill has been on retreat with and studied with many teachers, including Bikkhu Analayo, Dhammadipa, Donald Rothberg, Pat Coffey, Ruth King and Tara Brach. He has found the very real experiences of life to be his greatest teachers.
